Neatweeds isn’t just another garden maintenance crew, we’re a small team who genuinely care about creating outdoor spaces people love. Here’s a look at who’s behind the scenes making it all happen.

Patrick from Neatweeds trimming a hedge in Balmain – Inner West garden maintenance expert

Patrick – Operations Lead

Originally from Lithuania, Patrick grew up around tools and gardens. While he’s no longer on the tools himself, he runs the operations side of Neatweeds, keeping jobs flowing, schedules ticking, and the whole team running smoothly. With a sharp eye for quality and a calm, no-fuss approach, Patrick makes sure every job is delivered to the Neatweeds standard. He’s also a bit of a plant nerd and is known for his encyclopedic knowledge of hedges.

Max from Neatweeds mowing a lawn in Marrickville – professional garden care Sydney Inner West

Max – Garden All-Rounder

Max comes from France, where he got his start working in his father’s garden business. These days, he’s studying carpentry and working with Neatweeds on everything from lawn care and hedging to small makeovers and clean-ups. He brings a solid work ethic, a good sense of humour, and a quiet pride in doing things properly, and clients always appreciate his friendly, respectful approach on-site.

Quickfire Q&A with the Team

We threw a few random questions at Patrick and Max to see what makes them tick (beyond soil pH and lawn stripes).

What’s your go-to garden soundtrack? Patrick: Anything chill, bit of Jack Johnson never hurts when I’m on emails. Max: French hip hop or old-school rock. Depends if I’m trimming or mulching!

Favourite tool in the kit? Patrick: My calendar. Without it, we’d be chaos. Max: Hedge trimmer. Clean lines, instant satisfaction.

Most underrated garden job? Patrick: Good edging. Makes everything look sharper. Max: Soil aeration, no one sees it, but plants love it.

Coffee order? Patrick: Strong flat white, no sugar. Max: Long black, always.

Weirdest request from a client? Patrick: Someone once asked if we could “train” their jasmine to grow in a spiral. Max: A dog-friendly herb garden with signs. It was actually kind of cool. Servicing Sydney’s Inner West, CBD and Lower North Shore, including Balmain, Marrickville, Glebe, Leichhardt, Mosman and beyond.
